inWith the holiday frenzy and nonstop errands, it does feel good to give back. You don’t have to donate money in order to help. There are many different forms of donations… new items, homedmade ones and used items that are in good condition. While many of us are blessed to have loving family and friends and gifts underneath the tree, many young children do not and desperately need some Christmas cheer in their lives. So let’s help spread some holiday joy to these children one at a time. Here are three great organizations:
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community where the campaign is conducted. Please visit www.toysfortots.org for more information.
2) Make a Wish
This foundation helps children with serious illnesses a chance to great their most treasured wish. If you know of any children who need a wish to come true, please visit www.wish.org to refer them.
3) One Warm Coat:
The Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive
Help little children stay warm this season by donating new, gently used or homemade coats. This organization is sponsored by “Good Morning America,” Burlington Coat Factory, and the non profit orgranization One Warm Coat. Find a Burlington Coat Factory near you to help donate! Please visit www.onewarmcoat.com for more details.
Happy Holidays!

inAll dressed up and nowhere to go? Problem solved! Shimmy into your Holiday Glamor and show yourself off while having the most wonderful time of the year.
Since Christmas is celebrated all of the world, we thought it would be a great idea to give out our top five places to visit for some Holiday Fun!
1) New York City, New York
For those who are from the New York area, we all know that just walking through the city can easily get you into the Christmas spirt with all of the decorations on display. Why not go to an iconic landmark with your family to the Rockefeller ice skating rink where you can skate right in the middle of Manhattan! ($19 for Adults, $12.50 for children).
2) Breckenridge, Colorado
A fantastic ski and snowboarding spot where the atmostphere is set in an old Victorian Style. This Winter Wonderland will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a holiday postcard from the snowy white mountains to the carriage rides available throughout the holidays, and wonderful shopping opportunities.
3) Newport Beach, California
Newport Beach Boat Parade of Lights comes alive every year with their decorations of homes, yachts, docks and landscapes which are transformed into a magical holiday experience. From December 19th-23rd, hop on one of these magical boats and experience a Christmas like no other. ($36 for Adults, $31 for Juniors).
4) Walt Disney World, Florida
As if Walt Disney World wasn’t already magical enough, during Christmas time it is a place that you don’t want to miss. From Mickey’s very own Christmas Party, to lightshows, fireworks and parades, this would be an enchanting experience for you and your loved ones!
5) Longwood, Pennsylvania
And last but not least, if you’re one of our nearby neighbors here in Wilmington, DE, we can’t forget Longwood Gardens where they’ll put some stars in your eyes as you marvel at their decorated trees and thousands of tiny lights and, of course, the infamous fountain dance. There is nothing more romantic. ($18)
Happy Holidays!

inWhat would be my Perfect Thanksgiving party? I would have a small get together with my closest family and friends where we will all gather around my table which will be adorned with an elegant and festive centerpiece, thanks to Martha Stewart.
At the center of my table will be the delicious roasted turkey, the main focus of the meal. Building off the turkey will be other American dish favorites.
Green bean casserole, pineapple stuffing and a dish of dumpling squash. Add the other food necessities such as cranberry sauce, corn and mashed potatoes, and you can’t go wrong with this year’s Thanksgiving meal.
If you are looking to serve wine with your meal, try a Sauvignon Blanc which is a light and crisp wine with herbaceous flavors or Riesling which is a spicy, fruity flavor with a touch of floral fragrance.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

We love the holidays and partaking in all the tasty treats. By the time black Friday rolls around, we can find ourselves struggling to hide what a good time was had! This Black friday, hide it all in forgiving monochromatic shades. Black is a slimming color, giving the illusion that you didn’t eat a thing! Mix black with shades of grey like charcoal or heather for a simple yet comfortable chic look for your Shopping day!
If monochromatic is not your thing, add a subtle print to spice up your style. Check out Blake Lively’s versatile look. Where ever you decide to shop this black friday, do it in style and don’t forget to come shop with us at Stylebug. With over 15,000 designer pieces in stock you are sure to find a suitable gift for you or someone else on your holiday list.

inNeed help finding the perfect wines for the upcoming holidays? Don’t worry! Here is five wonderful wines that will be great for gifts or to serve at an upcoming holiday party!
BLOCK 9 PINOT NOIR 2010 (around $14) 2010 is an easy drinking red every day pleasure. It even goes well with oven fried chicken, so it is a great hostess gift!
LA ROCCA GAVI 2010 (around $19) is a crisp, light and dry white wine with balanced acidity and a delicate finish. Since it goes great with antipasto and lightly grilled white meats make it your hostess gift of choice.
FEDERALIST DUELING PISTOLS 2009 (around $35) is a bright cherry Syrah and zinfandel blend. In the words of my favorite sommelier at Collier’s of Centreville, collierswine.com, this red wine is “The socially acceptable way to solve differences.” Use it at home to wow your family and friends with pan roasted lamb chops with olive fig relish.
KATHERINE GOLDSCHMIDT Crazy Creek Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 (around $20) is a good example of a cabernet (red) that is meant to be shared and enjoyed with friends. This is a wonderful Holiday gift.
HUGH HAMILTON VIOGNIER 2010 (around $16) A family owned winery from 1837 designed this unique blend of nectarines, honeysuckle, orange blossoms and quince. Serve this at a fabulous dinner party with Peking duck.
Which wine appeals to you the most?
